Christmas Window Display Walking Tour

Time: Leaving Front Desk at 11:00 a.m.
Cost: Free [Only Metro Card Needed]

New York City has long been known for its amazing Christmas decorations. This tour will take you to see the magic of some of the most creative and magical window displays in the whole city including the Saks snowflake spectacular on 5th Ave.

The walk is approximately 2 miles long and will take you from Macy’s at 34th st to Bloomingdale’s on Lexington.

We’ll also stop for a bite to eat at one of the many café style restaurants along 5th Avenue!

Burnt Sugar

Burnt Sugar features guitar-wielding critic Greg Tate, who probably acquired more than one revelation from Miles Davis’s Bitches Brew. Thankfully, however, Tate has plenty of his own voodoo to run down. Using a conduction method on loan from Butch Morris, he spurs the large ensemble, always well-stocked with downtown-jazz luminaries, to acid-funk ecstasy. Tonight the combo celebrates ten years in the game, and the release of a new disc, Making Love to the Dark Ages.

Memorial Day Weekend Boat Ride

Usher in the summer season on this sunset cruise through the harbor with the Manhattan skyline as a backdrop. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for Friends of Hudson River Park Members and Business Partners, and $10 for children twelve years old and under. The boat ride will run from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Boarding begins at 5:00pm at Hudson River Park’s Pier 40 at West Houston Street in Manhattan. To purchase tickets, please visit www.fohrp.org.
